2005 OA Trail Maintenance Programs
Are you looking for an exciting way to make new friends, and serve the OA this spring and summer? The OA is offering three Trial Maintenance Programs this year, for all youth arrowman.
NEW!!! OA Ocean Adventure Program
Begining in the summer of 2005, the Order of the Arrow,
in cooperation with the Florida Sea
Base, is offering you an opportunity to cheerfully serve the
greatest ecosystem on our planet: the ocean.
Enjoy a two week scuba diving adventure as you explore
and serve the undersea world.
The first half of the Ocean Adventure program will be SCUBA
training and certification, held at the Florida
Sea Base. The second half of the program will focus on
rendering cheerful service to the ocean marine life and coral
reefs of the Florida Keys. Apply now!
OA Wilderness Voyage
Spend 2 weeks along the North American-Canadian border
in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. The first week is spent on portage trail and campsite maintenance, the second week is spent canoeing on a path you and other participants choose. Cost is $100.00, a $25.00 application fee, plus transportation costs. Voyage dates for 2004 begin June 10 and end on July 28.

OA Trail Crew
Held at the Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico, trail crew participants spend two weeks on the Philmont trails. The first week is spent in trail construction and maintenance, while the second week is a 7 day backpacking trip planned by the trail crews. A $25 non-refundable deposit is required with application, and the cost is $125 plus transportation to and from Cimarron. Trail Crew dates for 2004 begin June 8 and
Conclude July 27.
